John has worked at Redman Van and Storage since the day after he graduated from Olympus High School in 1965 - that's almost 45 years ago. He started on the trucks as a helper and then moved up the ranks: driver; warehouseman, packer, salesman, sales manager, and is currently the CEO. Redman has been good to our family. Not only has it provided us with the daily essentials but all of the boys have learned to work and work extra hard at their father's business. In the 40 years of our marriage I can only remember John staying home 1/2 day for illness. He has been dedicated to his job and willing to work hard to provide not only the necessities but also the luxuries of life for his family. John says he will retire in a couple of years but we will see if that really happens.
Decker Lake Youth Center
Where I spend my days
I have worked in the Youth in Custody program for Granite School District for about 17 years. My first two years were spent at the Salt Lake Detention Center. That building was turned into Wasatch Youth Center, a long term detention center, for females, general male population, and male sex offenders. After many years there I was sent to Decker Lake Youth Center where I work with 40 adolescents. I coordinate the school for the Granite School District YESS program and teach all of the English classes. I not only love my job but I love the kids who have made poor choices and hope for their future.
Porter is My Hero
As all of you in the family know we have been unable to get our refund back from the Easter Las Vegas Vacation. After months of ranting and raving and sending rude emails back and forth we called in our favorite attorney - PORTER. He got the job done in two days. I really wanted him to pull his gun on the guy but Porter was intimidating and we now have a broken Jensen desk stereo and $400. Yippee
Home Sweet Former Home
Good times - Great memories
We closed on 6426 Canyon Cove Drive today. It is a relief not to have to worry about it any more but we love our new home and neighbors just as much. I hope all of the children and their friends have as many great memories as John and I have: an 18 foot Christmas tree in the front window, Dad and his projects, football and basketball dinners, friends sleeping over, missionary homecomings and farewells, and probably many occasions that Dad would prefer not to know about. We hope there will be as many joyous occasions in our new home.

Lambda Delta Sigma
2009-10 Interchapter Council
These are the Interchapter officers of Lambda Delta Sigma. These girls oversee 17 LDS sororities through The Salt Lake University Institute of Religion. During the school year I will be with them 2-3 times a week. They energize me and keep me on my toes. Everyone of of these young women is a quality individual. They help me keep faith in the future.
