'Tis the Season

Yesterday began the holiday season. Thanksgiving day began quietly with John playing solitaire on my Ipad for hours at a time and me putting together a Thanksgiving dinner. Chad, Rachel and kids, Jonathan, Miki and kids all arrived around 4:30. We had a leisurely dinner and just put the kids in front of Toy Story 3. The day would not have been complete without a video phone call with David, Linds, Lincoln and Kate. Alex, Sami and Addy slept over and were the perfect grandchildren. Of course, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story 3 and computer games don't hurt.
I am so grateful for so many things. First of all would be my testimony of Jesus Christ. What would our lives be without that all important belief? My family is the light of my life. I have four imperfect sons who married four perfect, beautiful women. Each family has provided me with another delight of nine past perfect grandchildren. Heavenly Father has provided me with a Church assignment and a job that I totally enjoy and will be sad when that phase of my life is complete. My gratitude would not be complete without mentioning my soul mate, John, who keeps surprising me with a new side of him as we age together. I AM INDEED GRATEFUL FOR ALL I HAVE.
