It has now become our custom to celebrate Christmas Eve on December 23rd. That way we get to have everyone that is in town available to attend. We always have a modified, traditional Danish dinner with pork, dressing, pickled red cabbage and of course a rice pudding with a hidden almond. This year the kids got an almond of their own. We didn't allow Nikki and Andrew to play as they always seem to win. This year Jonathan won an ITunes gift card. Santa showed up and distributed gifts to 7 of our nine grandchildren. We truly miss David, Lindsay, Lincoln and Kate. After Santa left, we exchanged family gifts and tried a nativity with the grand-kids. We are hoping it will get better each year. (You might have noticed Soy Tad as baby Jesus. Baby London was in no mood to be mauled. Misha wanted to be Mary as well and I believe she has a lion stuffed animal). A great time was had by all.
