Nauvoo

Over the UEA break we took the opportunity to visit Nauvoo and my sister Deborah, who is serving a mission in Nauvoo. The travel group consisted of John and me, my sister Kendra, and Jonathan, Miki and baby London. It was cold and raining but we had a fabulous time. We started off with a visit to the St. Louis Arch - amazing - then through Mark Twain country, through Quincy and then Nauvoo and Carthage.

We were truly touched by all we saw and participated in during our stay in Nauvoo. There were many highlights on the trip but two that I want to share are watching our sister perform in Rendezvous and give us tours through a couple of the restored homes. The next highlight was visiting the Nauvoo Temple and attending a session. The mission president is a friend of ours and gave a tour of the temple all the way to the top of the bell tower.

We all want to go on another Church tour to Palmyra and surrounding areas. It certainly is a testimony growing and spiritual experience.
